ADVENTURES in HARRY POTTER TRIVIA NIGHT (T/weens): Tuesday, July 23rd at 4:30 PM

Back by popular demand from our teens! Do you know everything there is to know about Harry Potter? Test your knowledge skills today. Kids ages 10+ are invited to join us for this fun-filled Harry Potter Night!

T/WEEN INTERACTIVE MOVIE NIGHT - Jumanji: Wednesday, July 24th at 6 PM

We have the props, the scripts, the movie, the big screen and candy! Just register and bring your t/weenage self and a friend (ages 10+) and get ready for some play-acting antics in the jungle! It’s super easy to participate because everyone is ALL IN.

Please try to arrive by 5:50 for the best candy and seats!

SUMMER CONCERT WITH RELATIVE SOUL: Thursday, July 25th at 6 PM

Join us in the Courtyard for Relative Soul, a charismatic band serving the Greater Boston area. Rock to the sounds of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and right up to the best of today’s music. Don’t miss them!

Jungle Jim of Boston is such an amazing crowd pleaser and will dazzle you with balloon artistry, comedy and improv with his Wild About Reading Balloon Magic: Where Adventure Begins event! Children ages 3 and up will be in awe of his mad-cap mayhem with balloons. Audience participation will be part of the gig! Register all your friends and family for this Courtyard event.

Kimball Library News 7/11/24

ADVENTURES in CARTOONS and CRAFTS (All Youth): Saturday, July 13th at 10:30 AM

Join us for Saturday morning cartoons! We’ll have new favorites and classics, so take a peek at what’s playing. We’ll also have crafts available for anyone interested while supplies last.

This month we’ll be playing: Spongebob Squarepants. This month’s craft will be: Watercolor painting

Registration is not necessary. Stop in anytime between 10:30 AM – noon.

ADVENTURES in CODING (3 Distinct Age Groups): 7/15, 7/16, 7/29 at 4:30 PM

Calling all future engineers! You are invited to join Gail Ramsay (Code & Circuit, Amesbury) and Kathy Watson (Kimball Library) for some coding fun! We will be utilizing iRoot robots. Beginners are welcome as well as those with coding experience.

Due to the limited number of spaces and high interest, a $10 cash deposit is required for each child to register. Deposits will be refunded when your child attends the class. Please register your child according to the grade they will be in the fall in person at the Children’s Desk:

FILM ENTHUSIAST CLUB - The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: Tuesday, July 16th at 1 PM

During World War II, the British Army assigned a group of competent soldiers a mission against the Nazi forces behind enemy lines. This is true story about a secret British military organization. Founded by Winston Churchill, their irregular warfare against the Germans helped to change the course of the war and gave birth to modern black operations.

BEAVERS, OTTERS AND MUSKRATS – Oh My!

Learn all about New Hampshire’s semi-aquatic mammals. Why have humans prized them for their fur? What special adaptations have they developed to spend so much time in the water? Patrick Tate will discuss these questions and more as we take a deep dive into their elusive world.

Patrick Tate is a Wildlife Biologist employed with New Hampshire Fish & Game. His responsibilities include furbearing species monitoring statewide and regional wildlife responsibilities in the southeast portion of New Hampshire.

This event is sponsored by the Atkinson Conservation Commission as part of their 50th celebration and hosted at the Kimball Library. Registration is required.
