The
conversations on energy continue, and the third conversation will happen here
on Monday, December 16th, starting at 7pm. Each month is a drop-in invitation for energy
topic discussions, and we encourage you to stop in to participate or just
listen. Newcomers are always welcome!
Details
for the third ‘Holiday Drop ‘n Shop’ on December 21 from 10:30am-12pm are as
follows: On
the third day of ‘Drop ‘n Shop’ the elves have whispered to me... “Let's
partake in Frames and Games!” Come in and paint
a picture-frame ornament, play some holiday games, and create a puzzle piece
picture-frame to take home. Bring in a 3X5 picture of yourself and it will make
a great gift! It's popcorn and movie time while our creations dry.
**All 'Drop 'n Shop'
participants must be at least 6 years of age to be left in the building without
an adult. Ages 6-9 must have an adult fill out a waiver on that morning
to be left here in our care. Children under 6 must be supervised by the
attending caretaker. Children ages 10 and up are allowed to stay without
an adult or waiver according to library policy. Thank you for your
cooperation. Residents only, please.
If you or your child would like to see a sample of
the Saturday crafts, please drop by the library and see the projects for each
week displayed in advance. Stay tuned here
each week as we keep you informed as to each Saturday event’s details. All crafts are currently on display in the
children’s room.
Recently we had a fabulous bubble event for which we
only had limited seats, and we had some disappointed children on the day of the
event because they had not been registered before our event was full. Unfortunately,
we regret do have to limit events due to space, staffing, or supplies. Sign up early and then please do let us know
if you cannot make it so somebody on the waiting list can take your place. We like all our events to be full. Thank you for your understanding and
patience.
The library has some special holiday hours coming
up. We will be open only from 10am-2pm
on December 24th, closed on December 25th, open only from
10am-3pm on December 31st, and closed on January 1, 2014. Please stock up accordingly. Items due on the 24th or the 31st
must be in the building before closing.
Thanks to all of you for your cooperation and understanding, and have a
happy and blessed holiday season!
