Join us for an inspiring evening of designing beautiful and
abundant, edible landscapes on Wednesday, April 5th, from 6-8:00pm
with Ben Barken. Ben is the Owner and
Founder, Lead Designer and Consultant at HomeHarvest - Edible Landscapes LLC.
Inspired by working on more than 30 organic farms in New
England, California Oregon, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia, Ben founded
HomeHarvest in 2008. Ben earned a degree in sustainable agriculture, is
permaculture-design certified, and started HomeHarvest with just a bicycle and
shovel. HomeHarvest, based out of Arlington and Lexington, MA, now has
several company trucks, seven full time employees, and over 500 edible gardens installed
throughout Boston and its suburbs.
Let Ben help you start growing a beautiful and healthy garden!
This green event is sponsored by the Atkinson Garden
Club. It is free and open to the public.
SILLY SCAVENGER HUNT: It’s April Fool’s Day, so we are calling all kids
to come try out our silly scavenger hunt anytime between the hours of 11am and
1pm on Saturday, April 1st.

a super sleuth? Do you like kooky and
zany? No need to register, just come in
and try your luck and have a joke. Wear
your clothes backwards or solve the clues for a silly surprise. Happy April Fool’s Day from us at Kimball
Library!
LORRAINE MULLETT - ARTIST OF THE MONTH: “Hello, I am Lorraine Mullett, artist and this is
my world. I am a visual storyteller that
connects the dots to build my world. My world is full of variations of one
character. She is the spark that lightens up your thinking and nudges you to
thrive at being you. Comforting Friend is all about doors and windows of
opportunities that open when you notice. About remembering to embrace joy,
uncovering hope, notice peacefulness, and being a wisdom keeper. It is also
about nurturing thoughts that are touchstones, anchors, talismans and
reminders. It is about having a voice that sings and dances and communicated
your story of oneness that encompasses all the variations of you.”
Stop by the meeting room and main
circulation desk and see Lorraine’s display of whimsical art. Her words above come through her painting and
wood burning. See for yourself. You can also ‘visit’ Lorraine online at http://www.lorrainemullettartist.com.
