It’s exciting when the teen book group reads a novel that is
later made into a movie. That is the the
case with the book ‘Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda’ by Becky Albertalli. To celebrate we are planning on viewing the
film starting at 7PM on 6/13. The
t/weens read this as a group earlier in the year for teen book discussion, and
now we will compare the book to the movie. We’re meeting after an abbreviated
session of our June book discussion on Wednesday the 13th that
starts at 6:30. People who did not read the book are still welcome to join us
for this film or the discussion around ‘Flowers for Algernon’ by Daniel Keyes
which is the June book of the month.
The film has a run time of 110 minutes and will finish after
the library is officially closed, around 9pm. It is rated PG-13. We welcome teens and tweens in middle school
or high school to register to join us.
We’re sure the film will generate much discussion the way the book did!
