TAKE OUT AT YOUR LIBRARY: It’s live! If you are interested in particular titles, call us with your library card in hand. If they are available here at Kimball, we will retrieve them and check them out to you. Tell us when you’re on your way between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM and we’ll have the titles ready and waiting for you. Open the front door and you’ll find a table immediately adjacent to it with your materials on it. You won’t enter the building and there will be no physical contact with the staff.
You are also
welcome to place reserves yourself 24/7 through the catalog for Kimball items
only. We will pull them the next morning and every hour after that. All you
need to do is call us with your library card and let us know when you are on
your way.
It’s also
time to begin to return items you may have had out when the Library closed.
Please return Kimball materials via the book drops at the side of the building;
we cannot accept returns at the front door. After checking them in, they will
be quarantined for 4 days. Fines will not be charged during the month of May.
MINI MOTHER GOOSE ON THE LOOSE: Are those babies, toddlers,
and young preschoolers missing “Mother Goose on the Loose?” Miss Kathy has some
mini (shortened) versions available on YouTube.
We are so thankful we have already received some videos of the little
ones joining in with rhymes, animal sounds, and saying their name during the
drum roll call! Want to know more? Search up our Kimball Library Youtube channel,
or try this link to see if the littles in your life are ready to chant along
with Mother Goose rhymes! (Mini Mother Goose playlist-- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHm9ld2UdB_WpbzAxbYbUTLtoMO5IzM_K).
SUMMER READING REGISTRATION: Wow, where has the time gone? It’s
hard to believe that school is out and registration for this year’s ‘Imagine
Your Story’ at Kimball Library starts June 5, 2020. As you can imagine (no pun
intended), there will be changes this year but we are keeping those a secret as
of this press release. Just know that registration will be available online and
we will have exciting programs and magical things up our sleeves! Get ready to ‘Imagine Your Story’ with us and
may the fairy dusting begin!
NH HUMANITIES: If you don’t receive our electronic news,
now is the time! Just last week two exciting NH Humanities program links were
issued including Yankee Ingenuity: Stories of Headstrong & Resourceful
People and Saga Of The Submarine Squalus (documentary film). Keep up to date to
get all the latest by subscribing. Visit our website and click the blue button
on the top right of the page that says ‘Kimball E-News’. You are on your way!
STAY TUNED: Visit our website, FaceBook page, Twitter
account, Youtube or Instagram to learn about more updates and resources to
come. We miss all our face-to-face interactions
with our wonderful community, but safe practice says ‘see you online.’ We have upcoming events online as well that
