Who would even believe that summer reading registrations are just around the corner? It’s exciting to say it’s that time of year again! The first official big ‘kick-off’ event is not until June 22, but registration to start earning prizes starts June 1 and is rolling throughout June and July.
This year, Kathy Watson is throwing down the challenge gauntlet! If at least 200 youth in grades K-12 register for the ‘Oceans of Possibilities’ 2022 Summer Reading Program, her hair is going to match the theme and will get dyed ‘ocean blue’. Start urging your kids and friend’s kids to sign up as soon as registration opens as they won’t want to miss out on being part of winning that challenge!
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: We are also kicking off the Summer Concert Series and we couldn’t be more excited to have dulcet tones emitting again from our courtyard!
Take a peek below to see who is on the horizon. Stay TUNED for future details of dates, sponsorship, and more about each band or group of performers. Concerts are typically in our beautiful Library Courtyard, and some folks bring chairs or blankets to get comfy. Other people choose to sit on the specially built wall that has built-in seating. Mark your calendar now, as you won’t want to miss a single one of these performances!

As we look forward to another wonderful season of summer events taking place in the Library Courtyard starting in June, we are especially thankful this year to the Lion's Club for their gift of two beautiful new benches. SATURDAY STEAM: Join us for an easy going STEAM program for kids in kindergarten through grade 3 on June 11th at 10:30 AM.
We meet on the second Saturday of each month and work on a project using common items and have some fun challenges using whatever we have created for the day.
This month we will be making exploding paint rockets! Find out how to make a beautiful masterpiece using paint and Alka Seltzer! Trust us, it will be a BLAST!
