SEW IT UP!: Wednesdays from 12 to 3 PM
Do you like to sew or want to learn to sew? Join us for this super friendly and welcoming group who like to do all sorts of sewing, including crafts, garments and home decorations. With sewing machines in hand, we gather together on Wednesdays at 12:30 and talk about sewing projects, techniques, fabric etc., all while stitching away. Don’t have a project that you are currently working on? No problem, we have a couple projects to get you started. It is a great time to share ideas, swap fabric, learn some new techniques and stay inspired.
The group is for all levels! *Please bring your sewing machine and project. If you do not have sewing machine please indicate when registering as we may have an extra one to use when we meet.
Darlene Irving, Sew It Up! group organizer, generously offers her volunteer time to teach individual and group sewing classes. She has been sewing for over 40 years and enjoys sharing her love of sewing with others.
BOATING SAFETY COURSE 2024: The following NH Boating Safety Courses will be held at the Kimball Library April 9th and 11th, May 14th and 16th.
The New Hampshire Classroom Course covers a variety of topics including boat navigation, boating safety equipment, invasive aquatic species and laws and rules. This instructor-led class incorporates a range of learning methods consisting of lecture, videos, and student discussion. Individuals must attend both evening classes. ITALIAN CONVERSATIONS STUDY GROUP: Tuesdays at 6 PM
This adult study group focuses on practicing speaking Italian by helping each other through shared resources, various activities and games. If you are fluent or are learning the language with a basic understanding of Italian vocabulary, grammar and verb conjugations (present tense), please come join us to exercise your Italian the fun way!
ELEMENTARY EXPLORERS (GR. 1-3): Thursdays @ 3:30 PM
Calling all elementary school kids! Do you love science? Do you like to build things? Do you enjoy doing experiments? Then this is the class for you! If you are in 1st-3rd grade, you are invited to join us for this fun, interactive program. We’ll start by discussing the topic and then launch into the challenge or experiment of the day. Our 2024 spring session will begin on April 4th at 3:30 PM.
Priority will be given to new participants. Children may take the bus from Atkinson Academy to the Library if parents make arrangements with the Atkinson Academy Pick-up Patrol. (The Library is not taking responsibility for the transportation, we are only letting you know that there is a bus that stops here.) Please pack them a snack that they can have before 3:30.
