FEATURED ARTIST: MARY ANN ELDRED: Artwork on Display in August

The Library is hosting an exciting exhibit of Mary Ann Eldred paintings during August and September. Mary Ann began painting in 1989.

Mary Ann Eldred’s work primarily focuses on the New England landscape, though she loves to work on still life’s and wildlife from time to time.

“Capturing the effect of light on either subject is a lovely challenge. All seasons, but especially spring and fall, provide me the opportunity to use the lush colors of the pastel medium to convey the beauty of New England. The unique and lovely quality of the light and the way it strikes the land here have always been an inspiration for me.”

On Monday, August 19th from 5 – 7 PM there will be a Meet the Artist reception. Feel free to stop by and view these lovely paintings and talk with Mary Ann.
