Visit our meeting room and see the latest photography exhibit
from local artist, Chris Fazzio.
Chris Fazzio has been a resident of southern New Hampshire for
over ten years, living in Hampstead and now in Atkinson. He spent his childhood living in Haverhill,
MA and spent summers at his family's lake house in Barnstead, NH. He is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to
hike, kayak, mountain bike, rock climb, and bird watch. Through his photography, he is able to share
his vision of the simplicity of nature and his appreciation for rustic and
classical New England scenes.
Chris is a graduate of Merrimack College. He has been studying Chinese martial arts for
almost 30 years and has been teaching Kung Fu and self-defense to children and
adults for over 25 years. When he is not teaching or taking photos, he enjoys
his twin boys, cooking, a good book, and exploring nature with his family.
Chris has 25 pieces of photography on display and for sale
through the end of August. A portion of
the proceeds from any sale will be donated to the library. Don’t miss it!
A CHILD’S COLONIAL EVENING: Children entering kindergarten through grade 5 in
the fall of 2017 are invited to have a fun and 'proper' evening with Goodwife
'Goody” Mary Hale on Tuesday, August 8th at 6:30 PM. She will
instruct the children at her Dame School on how to write with a quill pen.
You'll make a bit of butter to have with our complete tea. The evening will end
outside with the playing of colonial games: hoop rolling, balls and cups,
whirly gigs, Graces, and maybe even marbles!
Costumes will be provided or go all
out and wear your own.
Registration is required through the
Kimball Library event calendar or call 603.365.5234 and ask us to do it for
you.
This proper evening event is sponsored
by the Atkinson Historical Society & Kimball Library.
