UNDERSTANDING
BOBCATS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE ~ NH FISH AND WILDLFE STEWARDS: Join us on Thursday,
February 20th from 6:30-8:00 PM as a New Hampshire Fish and
Wildlife Steward shares information about bobcats in the state. Learn about the natural history of the
elusive cat, its habitat needs and the status of the population. Also, hear about the amazing federal funding
mechanism that supports long-term research and is largely responsible for our
country's abundant wildlife.
This popular topic is free and open to the public. Register to attend this event, please.
10TH ANNUAL JACK FROST JAMBOREE: We have lots of fun events
planned! Join us for some snappy winter fun on Saturday, January 25th, between
10:30 and 2:30. Think ‘winter carnival’ with a twist. The public is welcome and
registration is not required. Come for some or all of the time. Take note of
the list below to see what wintery adventures we have planned for everyone.
**We will
have a miniature golf course throughout the stacks.
**We have
professional face painters between the hours of 11:00 and 2:00.
**There will
be an opportunity for crafts for kids.
**We have a
myriad of games (the more you play, the more prizes you win!) Any age can play
and everyone wins every time they play!
**Refreshments
are available – hot dogs, hot chocolate, and popcorn.
**Snowshoeing
(weather permitting)
**Roasting
marshmallows (weather permitting)

FREE event sponsored by the generous and awesome Friends of the Library.
TECH TUTORIALS: Tech THIS out! If you have an e-reader or
gadget that you want to learn how to use with free downloadable books, then we
can help you. You can have a brief lesson here called 'Turn it On!' on your
tech toy (Kindle, iPad, iPod, cell phone or other device compatible with
Overdrive/Libby App) and learn how to put a free library e-book on it. This is
a basic tutorial for newbies. Are you looking for some place to get help and to
learn more about your device(s)? Get troubleshooting assistance, learn how to
use your device(s), and discover the latest library apps, news, and online
services!

register for an appointment. Do you have questions regarding what you should
bring? Ask for Kathy Watson at (603) 362-5234 or email her at kwatson@kimballlibrary.com to set
up the appointment. (These tutorials are for resident card holders in good
standing only, please.)
Brief
tutorials are also available for basic computer instructions such as setting up
email, social media, etc. When you register for a lesson please indicate your
need.
STORY TIMES: Register your preschool children for
classes. We offer Mother Goose on the
Loose for infants to age 3 on Mondays at 10:30am, Bitty Books for ages 2 and 3+
on Tuesdays at 10:15am, Sensory
Storytime for ages 2 & 3 on Thursdays at 10:30am, and Kiddie Lit for ages
3-6 on Tuesdays and Fridays 11:30am.
Registration
is EASY through our website! Click on the event calendar icon, or just give us
a call at 603.362.5234 and ask for the youth department. All classes take occasional breaks during the
year, so please check the calendar for the schedule. We understand that schedules change, but
these are great educational opportunities so it’s okay to start mid-year. Each week the class is different and each
teacher brings something new to the table.
