It’s hard to fathom but February vacation week in the
Timberlane Regional School District is right around the corner! Got a Stay-Cation planned? We have something for the youth in your
family each day of the week! Stay tuned
for more next week as well.
MOTHER GOOSE
ON THE LOOSE:
Infants through age 3 with their caregivers are invited to join us for simple
stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs modeling after the Mother Goose
curriculum. Please feel welcome to stay after the session to allow for playtime
and socializing for all ages. Toys will
be available and it’s a great way to meet parents, grandparents and
children. This happens every Monday
(with a few exceptions) and registration is required. Please send us an email
or call if you cannot attend to help with our preparation. Thank you!
DOGMAN K9
COMIC WORKSHOP: Come test your K-9 skills, make your own buttons,
learn how to draw your own flip books, and make your own Dog Man comic!
Registration is required for youth in grades K-5. This ‘pawsome’ event is happening on Monday,
February 24th, from 2:30-4:30 PM.
You do not have to already be an artist to draw comics. Any dog can do it! Sign up!
ANIME CLUB: Join us for our first anime club meeting!
We will be watching anime, making new friends and enjoying some snacks on
February 24th from 6:30-7:30 PM. Feel free to bring sketch books to
draw or to read manga while we watch. This launch event is for grades 6-12. We
will be watching anime with ratings equivalent to PG-13. Registration is
required. Non-residents are welcome!
SNOWMAN BINGO: We have a version of BINGO for non-readers
so we are inviting children ages 3-6 to play along. Everyone loves playing BINGO
and winning books or small prizes as we play. It can be fun for the adults, too! Moms, dads or caretakers will be an important
part of helping to play. Register in advance so we will be sure to have ample
prizes for Tuesday, February 25th from 10:30 to 11:30. (No worries,
everyone will leave a winner.)
FAMILY MOVIE: They used to fear Elsa's magic, now it's
their only hope. Following the events of Frozen, Elsa discovers a powerful
threat that looms over their home in Arendelle. It appears to be coming from an
autumnal forest full of new magic and strange creatures. With the help of Anna,
Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, they must delve deep into the strange forest, stop
the mysterious force, and discover the truth behind Elsa's own powers.
Register all
ages for Tuesday, February 25th for this all-age pleaser starting at
1:00 PM sharp. Popcorn will be served.
Please consider cushions, blankets or pillows for sprawling. Rated: G Runtime:
104 minutes
STOPMOTION MOVIE WORKSHOP: We'll be using library
iPads and StopMotion Studio to make our very own stop motion movies. StopMotion
animation has been used to create classics like Wallace and Gromit and new hits
like the LEGO Movie. Small toys, characters, and props will be provided, but
you are welcome to bring one or two of your own. Bring a friend too, but be
sure to register for the event online. Space is limited and this event is for
grades 5-12. Create your own movie
masterpiece on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30-7:30 PM!
HOLIDAY HOURS: We will be CLOSED on February 17, 2020 observing
Presidents’ Day. Overdrive Downloadable Books, the Libby App, Kanopy, and
Hoopla are open 24/7 with a library card in good standing.
