Inquiries have been made as to what ‘in person’ programming we have going on. As of now we have Girls Who Code, small group tutoring (Herding Homework), fairy journals and t/ween book discussion for youth. As for adults we have needle crafters and craft, paint, and color and book discussion. We also offer tech tutorials for downloadable books, email, social media, and Zoom. Please check our website on the event calendar for any of your programming needs. Everything we are offering is listed by date.
CRAFT, PAINT
& COLOR: We are thrilled to
announce the return of the Craft, Paint & Color Meetup Group on Fridays at
10:30 AM. Following social distancing and face covering measures, the gathering
will look a bit different. The group will use the large meeting room off of the
lobby to accommodate for social distancing measures. Group size will be limited
to maximum of 10 people. Registration is required and we will not be able to
accommodate walk-in participants.
Individuals will
be able to spread out as they dabble in painting, coloring or creative crafts
using oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and pencil. Individuals bring their own
supplies and work on canvas, wood, sketchpads and coloring books. While in the
Library, individuals are required to wear masks.
Sign up and join
the group for a time to unwind, de-stress and create. Please bring your own
materials.
The fall session
meets on: November 6 & 13, December 4, 11, & 18. At the end of the fall
session, you will have an opportunity to re-register for sessions starting in
January, 2021.
VIRTUAL FAMILY YOGA: Our favorite yoga instructor, Kelsey Iani
of Balancing Bear, is back with another virtual class on December 14th
at 6:30 PM for Bedtime Yoga. Register now for a fun, relaxing exercise that
will engage your body, mind, and spirit. The whole family is invited to follow
along at home. Wear comfortable clothes, and make sure you have room to spread
out at home. You’ll find Kelsey easy to
follow and it’s good for any age to unwind.
Registration is
required to receive the Zoom link. This
offering is geared for families with children in the 3 to 9 age range,
even though all ages can certainly participate and enjoy. Younger children may
need assistance if they have never tried yoga before.
HOLIDAY CLOSING: Please note that the Kimball Library will
be closing at 3 PM on Wednesday, November 25th (Thanksgiving Eve),
and will also be closed fully on November 26 & 27 for Thanksgiving break.
We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, November 28th from
10-3. Stock up accordingly. Here’s a pleasant reminder that digital streaming
services such as Overdrive Downloadable Books, Kanopy, and Hoopla are available
24/7 with a current card in good standing. Happy reading, listening, and
viewing!
