We are accepting book donations as of June 14, 2021. Thank you in advance for thinking of us.
We accept
books, music, and DVDs in good condition.
Please be sure books are not moldy or damaged and that music and movies
are playable the entire way through. We
do not accept any magazines, text books, encyclopedias, VHS, cassettes, or
Reader’s Digest condensed books. We are interested in book titles that are 5
years old or less.
When we
receive your donation, we first sort through to see if we’d like to add any of
the items to our collection. If we don’t
add the item(s) to our collection, we then decide if it is to be sold or to be
transferred to a charitable organization.
Please take care to recycle your unwanted items by helping the
environment and your local library.
Donations
can be received during our open business hours.
If you have large amounts of materials, please call ahead so we can be
sure to assist you. Please do not leave them in our book drop or at any of our
doors. Thank you!
LINDSAY’S PUPPET PALS: Lindsay brings her larger than life
Puppet Pals to child and family audiences across New England. Filled with
silliness, active audience engagement, and memorable characters, this series of
charming short stories will delight the young and the young at heart! We are
excited that Lindsay and Pals are returning to Kimball Library on Wednesday,
June 30th, at 6:00 PM.
Ideal for
ages 3-8, but all ages and non-residents guests are welcome. Registration is
required. You can do that on the online event calendar, in person, or over the
phone. Please be prepared for the Library Courtyard by having a blanket to sit
on, bring camp chairs, or use our built-in hill seats.
This
program was generously sponsored by The Friends of Kimball Library.
MEET & GREET THE DIRECTOR: Join us anytime between 4:00 and
6:00 PM on July 1st for a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Karen Brown, the Kimball
Library Director. Even though Karen has
been the director for over a year now, due to Covid restrictions getting to
meet her has been extremely challenging. This is your chance! She would very
much like to make your acquaintance.
Light
refreshments will be served in the Courtyard. Come for any or all of the time
allotted. We’d appreciate your
registration so we can plan snacks accordingly. Please consider staying for a
concert in the Library Courtyard at 6 PM.
MARTIN & KELLY SUMMER CONCERT: The incredibly talented duo of
Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly have become the next must-see act from New
England to Nashville.
Standouts
in today’s crossover country music scene, Martin and Kelly’s songs bridge the
boundary between traditional and new country. They’ve made their mark with
highly-acclaimed original music and are winning over audiences each and every
time they perform. Jilly and Ryan’s compelling song-writing, dynamic vocal
harmonies and stunning musicianship have them poised for a breakthrough in the music industry.
Please
register and let us know you plan to attend on Thursday, July 1st,
at 6 PM right after the Meet & Greet the Director event.
The Summer
Concert Series is sponsored by the Friends of the Kimball Library.
