Library Page Position Available–
Do you love your local library? Pages shelve and merchandise materials, and also wait on customers at the Circulation Desk. This is an excellent job opportunity for high-school students. The shifts are on fixed evenings and 1 to 2 Saturdays a month. It’s 7 to 12 hours/week at a wage of $8.50 to $9/hour.
The position is open until filled. Special consideration will be given to Atkinson teenage residents. Please note that applicants must be at least 15 years of age in order to apply. A brief aptitude quiz to be taken at the Library will also be required.
If you are interested, please fill out the Application For Employment Form 2021 (you can find it on the website) and email it to director@kimballlibrary.com and kwatson@kimballlibrary.com with the subject heading as ‘Library Page Application’.
HERDING HOMEWORK: Reserve time on Mondays and Wednesdays to swing by the Library and meet with a librarian from 3:15-4:00 PM. We'll help you out if you need some guidance on your assignment, or leave you to it if you just need a quiet space to work.
The bus does has a stop here. All arrangements must be made through pick-up patrol and the respective schools. The Library is not involved in this portion of the plan.
Register your children each time so we know to expect them.
FILM ENTHUSIAST CLUB: Are you a Cineaste (an enthusiast for or devotee of movies or filmmaking)? If so, join us for this fun fan of films group. View award winning films, documentaries, foreign films and modern classics. Watch the feature film and then join the group in giving a 'thumbs up' review.
To allow for social distancing measures, the viewing room will have limited audience capacity. Individuals must register to attend. Sign up and you will be all set to enjoy the films to be shown on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday until the end of the year. You will receive email updates on which feature films will be showing.
At present, we will not be able to accommodate walk ins. We will be using the meeting room chairs so feel free to bring your own comfy cushion. At this time the popcorn concession is closed. As always, Kleenex will be available for those 'laugh until you cry' movie moments.
We will be showing the following feature film: NOMADLAND - SEPTEMBER 21: A woman in her sixties, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad.
