Cathie Piccolo and Lois Powers researched high and low, both online and through books and magazines for their next craft project to tackle. Join them for their next 'Bibliocraft” class where they will show you the ins and outs to creating a Luminary for the Holidays.
In this creative and as always fun class, Cathie and
Lois will provide the instructions, materials, embellishments and support for
you as you craft away. Each person will receive a jar to decorate. All Artisans start somewhere, and this craft
makes a wonderful gift or holiday decor for the home.
Registration is required, and seating is limited to
10. A non-refundable materials fee of $10.00 must be paid at time of
registration. Stop in at the library and register today or call for more
information. Class takes place on Thursday, November 18th, at 6:00
PM.
VACATION
GETAWAY FRIENDS OF KIMBALL LIBRARY FUNDRAISER: One week’s
lodging at The Mountain View Resort has been donated to the Friends of the
Kimball Library by an Atkinson resident. The dates are during the romantic week
of February 13th, 2021. Total occupancy of the unit is 8 persons and it is a
beautifully equipped 3-floor condominium in scenic North Conway, NH.
(mt-view-resort.com). There is so much to see and do in the area–these
accommodations are perfect for friends, family, or a romantic getaway.
Tickets are $20 each and there are only 100 printed.
You can purchase your chances at the Kimball Library. Tickets are on sale NOW
and will be until the drawing on Wednesday, November 24 @ 1:00

ENTHUSIAST CLUB: There are still 4 slots open to join
this fun fan-of-films group. View award winning films, documentaries, foreign
films and modern classics. Watch the feature film and then join the group in
giving a 'thumbs up' review. Sign up and you will be all set to enjoy the films
to be shown on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday until the end of the year.
DEVICE
UPDATES: As of October 1, some users with older electronic
devices were no longer able to use the Libby app or access NH Downloadable
Books on those devices. This has mainly affected iPad users. The quickest way
to check if an iPad is incompatible:
Open the Settings app/Tap General/Tap About/View the
Software Version or Version. If the software version is 9.x or lower, the device
is no longer compatible.
You can try updating the device, but if
device states that the software is already up to date, there is no other way to
resolve the issue as your device is too outdated.
HOLIDAY
CLOSING: Please note that we will be closed on Thursday,
November 11th, in honor of Veterans’ Day. Stock up in advance, or as
always, Hoopla, Libby, Kanopy and other online services are open 24/7.
