LOVELY PHOTOGRAPHY: Stop in between now and
the end of February to see the lovely images by Eva McDermott Photography. The
walls of the meeting room as well as other parts of the main library are
adorned with McDermott’s work. She specializes in seascapes, landscapes, and nature abstracts
using both film and digital cameras. Her goal is to capture the best image
possible in-camera using graduated neutral density filters to improve tonal
range of both her digital and film images.
Currently the artist lives in Atkinson,
NH with her family but also has been enjoying her summer home in Boothbay, ME
for over 30 years. Her favorite places to photographic in the Boothbay area are
Ocean Point and Oven’s Mouth. Her photographs have been selected for The Maine
Photography Show several years in a row and in 2013, her abstract of bubbles
under ice, “Celestial” won 3rd place in the Black and White Category. She has
also exhibited her work at the Boothbay Harbor Library, The First Bank in
Boothbay Harbor, and Art @ Waterfront Park Festival.
KIMBALL
KIDS: It’s time to start reading again! Come join us this
month on Monday, January 26th, from 4:30-5:30pm as we talk about the
book, have an activity, and enjoy a light snack.
This group is for 1st and 2nd grades only and
registration is required. The books are available in the children’s room so

enjoy.
