Do you have plans for April school vacation week? If you are planning to be around, we have activities starting on Saturday the 24th through Friday the 30th. Take advantage of our free programs. Please look online or come pick up a brochure. A few of these programs are registration only so look and plan accordingly.
Saturday, April 24 @ 10:30am (ages 6 and up) 4th SATURDAY FLICKS: Family fun for everyone. Settle in for the movie of the month.
Monday, April 26 @ 1pm (grades K-5) SCAVENGER HUNT: Looking for something to do? Come try your luck at finding things around the library. We'll plant the clues, you do the rest. A prize awaits you for having fun and completing the job! Parents can also help.
Tuesday, April 27 @ 1pm (grades K-5) KIDS MOVIE: Why not watch the show together? And it's free!! Come to the show and bring a friend!
Wednesday, April 28 @ 1pm (grades K-5) OPEN CRAFTS: Try your luck at making something! Take a kit and finish it while you're here. Refreshments included while you work.
Thursday, April 29 @ 6:30pm (ages 3 & up) TEDDY BEAR SLEEPOVER: It's a sleep over at the library! Bring your teddy bear or a stuffed animal to story time and leave your teddy bear for a special sleep over. Your teddy bears will spend the night at the library and find out what happens when the lights go out! Don't forget to bring a blanket for your teddy bear to sleep with. Pick up your teddy bear in the morning and find out what kind of mischief the animals got into. Join your bears for donuts the next morning to see what adventures they had during the night. Children must be able to attend both dates. Registration required.
Thursday, April 29 @ 6:30pm (grades 5-12) WII TEENS & TWEENS: Come for an open time of Wii for grades 5 and up. Game selection includes Wii Play, Wii Sports, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Mario Kart, and Wii Fit. All enthusiastic gamers are welcome. :) Bring your friends. They do not have to have a library card here.
Friday, April 30 @ 12:30pm (grades 1-5) WII PLAY ON VACATION: Come for an open time of Wii for grades 1 and up. Game selection includes Wii Play, Wii Sports, Mario Kart, and Wii Fit. Bring your friends. All well-behaved gamers are welcome. :)
Friday, April 30 @ 1pm (grades 2 and up) MONOPOLY GAME: Know how to play? Bring your game, a friend, and join us at Monopoly. Even parents are welcome to play! Prize is promised for the grand winner.
Friday, April 30 @ 6:30pm (ages 4-9) READ & FEED: Enjoy several stories to be followed by a snack. Pajama-wearing kids are welcome! Parents are invited to sit with non-experienced listeners or relax upstairs with a magazine, a newspaper, or to web surf. Take advantage of choosing your DVDs that won't be due back until Monday. Best of all, the kids will be 'read and fed' before bed!
