TEENS WIN THE KIMBALL CHALLENGE: The teens read and participated throughout the summer, earning 896 raffle tickets in the jar by July 30th for the summer reading contest. The group goal was 800, and due to their success Kathy Watson, Youth Services Director, was ‘decorated’ with a live ball python, hissing cockroaches and millipedes. The event took place on Thursday evening (July 31) with roughly 160 people in attendance following the fabulous ‘Critters & Creatures’ event. Check out the Kimball Library Facebook page for photos and short videos. (No need to have a Facebook account—just click into the Facebook section on our webpage as all our photos are public.) The facial expressions are priceless! Congratulations to all the participating teens and all of the awesome summer readers!
