Kimball Library News 8/10/15

Summer reading events have come to end so we ask that you would have your children pick up prizes and masks so we can begin getting our library ready for fall activities.  Please take a look below at a few options for the preschool children as well as take a peek online at the September book discussions for teens and tweens.  More events and activities will be published soon.

Preschool story times begin after Labor Day with….

MOTHER GOOSE ON THE LOOSE: Infants through age 2 with their caregivers are invited to join us for simple stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs.  This national curriculum will keep your child on the go for 30 minutes.  Please register online, over the phone, or in person.  This event brings caretakers and parents together.  Join us on Mondays at 10:30am beginning September 14th.

BITTY BOOKS: Children ages 2-3 with their caregivers are invited to join us for itty bitty stories, rhymes, finger plays or songs and simple crafts.  Register for Tuesdays at 10:15am beginning September 8th.

KIDDIE LIT: Crafts, music, new friends, and adventures into literacy are found during these classes. Caretakers may stay and listen or relax in another part of the library.  Pick your day—either Tuesdays at 11:30 starting September 8th, or Fridays at 10:15 or 11:30 starting September 11th.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND:  Kimball Library will be closed for Labor Day Weekend (September 5-7)
Two day loan DVDs checked out on Thursday, 9/3 and Friday, 9/4 will be due on Tuesday, 9/8.  Stock up accordingly, and have a safe and pleasant holiday weekend.

THANK YOU: Another summer reading donation came in after we published our thanks.  Thanks to Leavitt’s Ice Cream in Atkinson for the ice cream coupons.  We’ve received a few pictures on our facebook page with some pretty yummy looking cones!
