TEENS
CHANGE THE DATE: Generally
the teens meet the second Wednesday of each month to discuss the book of the
month, but in November that lands on the Veterans Day holiday. We will be meeting instead on Tuesday,
November 10th, at 6:30pm to have conversation and chat regarding the
novel, “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ by Jesse Andrews.
Rachel has been diagnosed with leukemia—-cue
extreme adolescent awkwardness—-but a parental mandate has been issued and must
be obeyed. When Rachel stops treatment, Greg and Earl decide the thing to do is
to make a film for her, which turns into the Worst Film Ever Made and becomes a
turning point in each of their lives.
I guarantee we’ll have lots to talk
about with the teen popular book. Get
your copy at the main desk now!
*FAMILY
SCARECROW MAKING: It's
family fun time on Saturday, November 7th, from 12:30-1:30pm! Let's
put those fall leaves to good use and come together to create scarecrows! We'll
use autumn leaves and a bit of know-how to build a family friend to display in
your yard.
*Families will need to provide a hat and set of clothing for
their scarecrow. Registration is
required for this fun activity in person at the children’s desk. Atkinson residents will be given first
priority. Non-residents are welcome to register on November 2nd.

enthusiastically invited to attend a movie night at the library. The feature

Popcorn will be provided to our guests. The movie will begin
at 6:00pm SHARP. You are welcome to bring a paper bag supper or movie treats to
enjoy. Water bottles are encouraged.
Non-residents are welcome.
