Kimball Library News 8/7/22

The Timberlane Community Jazz Band was formed in the mid-2000's.  Directed by Nick Mainella, they play a repertoire of big band tunes from yesterday and today. We are fortunate to have their presence here, in the Kimball Library Courtyard, on Thursday, September 1st, at 6:00 PM.

Don't forget to invite your friends and family to join you and enjoy an evening of music. Bring chairs or blankets, or enjoy our built-in seating.

The 2022 Summer Concert Series is generously sponsored by George Family Charities.

FILM CLUB: Start time is 1:00 PM, but if you arrive early you can choose your seat and catch up with friends before the show starts.

RELIEVING NECK, SHOULDERS AND BACK PAIN NATURALLY: Relieving muscle pain is all about knowing the root cause.  Pills may mask the pain, but not address the solution.  When you know why and where the pain starts, then you have the power to take effective action that decreases the pain.

Join us as Elizabeth Gallien, Licensed Massage Therapist introduces and demonstrates ways to relieve neck, shoulders and back pain with stretching. Elizabeth will demonstrate both upper and lower body stretches and provide you the opportunity to try out the exercises yourself.  The upper body stretches may be conducted from a standing or sitting position. The lower body stretches are conducted on the floor.  If you wish to try them out, please bring a yoga mat or beach blanket to lay on, a standard size pillowcase and wear comfortable clothing. There are modifications to exercises which she will discuss and therefore you may choose to watch and try them at home as well.

You’ll want to be here at Kimball Library traveling on the path to wellness on Thursday, September 8th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Registration is required.

BOOK DONATIONS: Starting on August 13th, we will once again be receiving book donations for the upcoming sale in September. The titles we are most desirous of are hardcovers that are 5 years old or less. We do not accept textbooks, Readers’ Digest Condensed books, or books that are more than gently worn. If you have more than one bagful, please call ahead so we can meet you at the back door for unloading. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
