T/WEEN BOOK CLUB: Join the most chill t/weens and chat with about I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys. Copies are available for the asking. We serve candy and the coolest conversation. Register yourself and your bestie to join us on January 4th at 6:00 PM. The book of the month is

EVENING BOOK CLUB: The Evening Book Club is happy to be back meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Join us on January 17th at 6 PM for an active discussion of this month's book, The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.

The Personal Librarian tells the story of an extraordinary woman, famous for her intellect, style, and wit, and shares the lengths she must go to, for the protection of her family and her legacy, to preserve her carefully crafted white identity in the world in which she lives. You may pick up a copy of the book at the main circulation desk. Feel free to invite your book loving friends and family!

MORNING BOOK CLUB: Join us for an hour to talk about the book we chose each month. Hear what others have to say and enjoy conversation with new friends. On January 25th at 10:15 AM, we will be discussing The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce.

When Harold Fry, a timid man in his later years, discovers that a former friend and colleague is seriously ill, he sets out with the intention of posting her a letter but instead embarks on 600-mile walk from Devon to Berwick-upon-Tweed. He believes that in some way his journey will help his friend to live.

FILM ENTHUSIAST CLUB: Are you a Cineaste (an enthusiast for or devotee of movies or filmmaking)? If so, join us for this fun fan of films group. View award winning films, documentaries, foreign films and modern classics. Watch the feature film and then join the group in giving a 'thumbs up' review. *Please note films are always subject to change.

This session meets January 2023 through the end of May 2023. Coming up on January 3rd is the Death on the Nile which is rated PG-13 and directed by Kenneth Branagh. Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot's Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple's idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. 1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN: If your child has not yet graduated from kindergarten, this incentive program is just for you! Register your children for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten so they can be a literary superstar! Children from birth through kindergarten graduation are eligible to be part of this program. For every 100 books that are read to them, they move up a level. There are prizes and sticker incentives along the way. It’s time to get started!

Visit Kimball Library in person to register your children and begin the process. You’ll be on your way to developing a life-long reader and fostering educational success!

HOLIDAY HOURS: The Kimball Library will be closed on Saturday, December 24th and Monday, December 26th. We will also be closed on January 2nd, 2023 Please note that Libby, Kanopy, and Hoopla are available 24/7 with a Kimball Library card in good standing.
