Kimball Library News 1/14/24

Join the most chill t/weens and chat with us about I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. Copies are available for the asking. We serve candy and the coolest conversation. Register yourself and your bestie. Discussion will take place on February 7th at 6 PM.

At first, Jude and her twin brother Noah, are inseparable. Years later, they are barely speaking. Something has happened to change the twins in different yet equally devastating ways... but then Jude meets an intriguing, irresistible boy and a mysterious new mentor. The early years are Noah's to tell; the later years are Jude's. But they each have only half the story, and if they can only find their way back to one another, they'll have a chance to remake their world.

MORNING STRETCH: Elizabeth Gallien, Licensed Massage Therapist, introduces and demonstrates ways to relieve neck, shoulders and back pain with stretching.

Join us for an hour-long couple's stretch class on Friday, February 9th at 10 AM. Bring anyone; mom and daughter, husband and wife, friend and friend can join. The stretches are done in a regular chair. Partners stretch each other out. The focus on the stretches are neck and shoulders. Dress in comfortable clothes. Register yourself and your partner.

EXTREME SURVIVAL - LESSONS FROM THOSE WHO HAVE TRIUMPHED AGAINST ALL ODDS
: New York Times bestselling author Michael J. Tougias captivates the audience by chronicling harrowing survival stories and discusses the lessons learned. Tougias has interviewed over 100 people who survived against all odds, and researched many historical figures who have achieved the near-impossible. He supplements their stories with a handful of first-person accounts from some of the toughest survivors in history, including mountain climbers to early explorers of the new world. Register to attend on Thursday, February 15th at 6 PM.

This program is hosted by the Kimball Library and made possible by New Hampshire Humanities.
