Kimball Library News 9/28/10

Back by popular demand, a ‘Sing-A-Long” will be happening on Thursday, October 14, from 10:15 to 11:15am in the Children’s Room. Join us for a morning of songs on the guitar with Laura Picciano and Gloria Denoncourt, new owners of the Hazel Drive Early Childhood Center, Hampstead. This was so much fun in September that we’re doing it again. All children ages 2-6 are invited to enjoy a wonderful program of singing, stories, and lots of laughter! Registration is not required so come on in and invite your friends, too. We’ve always got room for one more voice and smiling face!

Also back by popular demand, formally known as 4th Saturday flicks, now dubbed “Saturday Cinema!” is on the fall roster. On Saturday, October 23, we’ll be showing a new DVD release. Have you ever wondering how to train a fire-breathing animal? Ages 6-9 must register in advance to stay unattended, ages 10 and up can drop in, and kids 5 and under are welcome with a parent or guardian. Please bring your own movie snacks and spill-proof beverages so everyone gets what they want and are allowed to have. Pillows are also welcome if you prefer to sprawl out rather than sit in chairs.

Reminder: Kimball Library will be closed on Monday, October 11th, in recognition of Columbus Day (observed.) Two day loans taken on Friday the 8th or Saturday the 9th will not be due until Tuesday, October 12. Have a safe and happy holiday.
