Bring
your blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the second ‘Summer Concert in the Courtyard’. Be prepared to enjoy an
evening of folk music with Curt Bessette and Jenn Kurtz on Tuesday, July 17, from 6:00-8:00pm. This musical event is sponsored by the
Friends of the Kimball Library.
Curt has performed
throughout the USA. He was a Songwriting Finalist at the Kerrville Folk
Festival (Texas) and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (New York). He has
recorded 4 CD's of his original songs, is a musical instructor in Portsmouth,
NH, and teaches songwriting in Adult Ed programs in Maine and New Hampshire.
Jenn Kurtz is a respected
harmony signer who performs in numerous venues throughout New England. Please
take advantage of this musical night out.
This performance is free and open to the public.
We are mixing up the
evening book discussion by moving it forward one week in July and combining it
with a movie event. This will all take place on Tuesday, July 24,
from 5:30-8:30pm. To celebrate Charles Dickens 200th Birthday, the
evening book discussion group will meet and discuss Nicholas Nickleby and watch
the movie. Please join us and share in 'British
High Tea' by bringing tea sandwiches or finger desserts to share. The movie
runs 2 hours, 12 minutes.
There is STILL time to
