Kimball Library News 12/8/14

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN:  Extra!  Extra!  Read all about it!  Mark this date and time—Tuesday, December 16^th, at 11:15am.  A special North Pole visitor will be coming to Kimball Library!  Santa is making a special trip to visit our preschool story time children.  Guests that are not enrolled in classes may join us at 11:15am.  Santa likes to read to us, and he is available for listening to children’s wishes.  Registration is not required for this one-time event.  Bring your camera!  Non-residents are welcome to see Santa, too. 

ME BEFORE YOU: Join the lively evening book discussion on Tuesday, December 16^th, to discuss the wildly popular ‘Me Before You’ by Jojo Moyes.  As inspiring as it is heartbreaking, ‘Me Before You’ is Jojo Moyes's international bestselling breakout novel—and the captivating tale of two people whose improbable romance sets them both free.  Books are available at the front desk—or just come listen to the discussion.  Newcomers are welcomed and encouraged. 

KNITWITS & DABBLERS: We have several groups that meet weekly that share a common interest.  For those who like to knit, the KnitWits meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30am, and for those who like painting or crafts, the Dabblers meet on Thursday mornings at 10:15am.  You do not need a special skill set to join these gatherings.  Everyone is very friendly and will encourage you.  Stop in to say hello and think about making this part of your weekly routine.

PRESCHOOL CLASS BREAK:  Please note that our preschool classes (Mother Goose on the Loose, Bitty Books, Kiddie Lit, and PJ Peeps) will be taking a holiday break from December 22^nd-January 4.   All classes will resume the first week of January in 2015.

SPECIAL HOLIDAY HOURS: The library will be open from 10am-2pm on Wednesday, December 24th and closed on Thursday, December 25, 2014.  We will be open on Wednesday, December 31^st from 10am-3pm, and closed on Thursday, January 1, 2015.  Whatever holidays or traditions you are celebrating this month we wish you the happiest ever!  We certainly celebrate all our faithful patrons.
