SECRET WORLD OF BUBBLES: ‘A Universe of Stories’ is this year’s summer reading theme and that means you will find performers, classes, events, and programs that are all ‘Outta this World’ for all ages! We kick off the fun with world renowned scientist and performer Keith Michael Johnson in ‘A Secret World of Bubbles’ on Wednesday, June 19th at 6:30 PM in Atkinson Academy’s gymnasium. In this unique show, you will see many bubble sculptures, some bigger than bathtubs, others are fog-filled spinning geometric shapes!

Keith Michael Johnson was the first bubble artist to receive a government grant in which he popularized science through bubble performances. He’s been featured on the Discovery Channel and National Geographic TV and uses bubbles, massive and miniature, to explain liquids, solids, gasses, geometry, tension and pressure.

While those demonstrations snare viewers’ attention—Keith reveals the science behind the magic, unfolding the "how-to" like a mystery, making it both educational and unforgettable. Pack the whole family in the car and invite your neighbors and friends along for the bubbliest adventures while you’re at it!

Please note that this event is free and open to all, but we do request that you register online, in person, or over the phone.  All ages are welcome but science concepts are geared for school-aged youth and adults.  We are grateful for the Elizabeth Smith Estate for sponsoring this exciting STEM event.
