Kimball Library News 2/29/24

BOATING SAFETY COURSE 2024 (REGISTER): The following NH Boating Safety Courses will be held at the Kimball Library on March 12th and 14th, April 9th and 11th, May 14th and 16th.

The New Hampshire Classroom Course covers a variety of topics including boat navigation, boating safety equipment, invasive aquatic species and laws and rules. This instructor-led class incorporates a range of learning methods consisting of lecture, videos, and student discussion. Individuals must attend both evening classes. For requirements and to register visit: NH Marine Patrol or visit the Kimball Library website.

MAKE YOUR OWN PAINTBRUSHES (Grades K-3): Saturday, March 16th at 10 AM

Can you paint better when you make your own paint brushes? There are so many things to try when you paint, and some of them are strangely creative! Wear comfy clothes, register, and come to see how cool your painting will be. Register online or in person.

FOCUS AND SNAP PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP WITH EVA MCDERMOTT: At 12:30 on the 2nd Thursday of the Month

Do you love photography and wish to further develop your skills or share your knowledge and passion with others? We are a new group of photography enthusiasts who meet once a month to help each other fine tune techniques and if time permits do a bit of camera work outside. Whether you are a new or experienced digital camera photographer or use a cell phone to take pictures, feel free to come join us. Registration is required.

Focus and Snap is organized and run by Photographer Eva McDermott. Eva has taught photography classes throughout southern New Hampshire. Photography has been her hobby and passion for many years. Her current focus is seascapes, landscapes, and nature abstracts using both film and digital cameras. She is a Landscape Gallery Moderator for Nature Photographers Network.
