Kimball Library News 8/25/10

It’s time to FALL in love with a book discussion group. If you haven’t tried us, we urge you to try one on for size. Available choices are: TWEENS (middle school) who meet the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm; TEENS (high school) who meet the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm; 4TH & 5TH GRADERS who meet that 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm, EVENING (adults) who meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6pm; BROWN BAG (2nd & 3rd graders) who meet the 4th Mondays at 5:30pm, and MORNING (adults) who meet the 4th Wednesday of each month at 10:15am. Check the online calendar on our website for book titles. We order extra so new folks may join at any time. Got questions? Call 362-5234.

It’s time to FALL in love with the KnitWits. If you haven’t heard, we have a mixed group (different ages and abilities) of knitters that meet each Tuesday and Friday morning at 10:30am. New knitters or knitter wannabees are welcome to join this loveable motley crew. Grab a project and head on over. This is a very informal but informative gathering as the more experienced knitters are always willing to share tips and tricks.

It’s time to FALL in love with children’s programming. Try Friday, September 10, on for size for Pirate Night!. “Ahoy ther matey! Chart er course for the Kimball Library for swashbuckling fun! Ther be stories, games, a craft, treasure hunt, and refreshments!” Come in from 6:30-7:30pm kids ages 4 and up.

It’s time to FALL clean. Got books? We’ll take them off your hands in preparation for the ‘Fall Book, Bake, and Flea Sale’ that is right around the corner on Saturday, September 25, from 8am-3pm. Please drop off your books, dvds, and audiobooks Monday-Friday 10-8 and Saturday 10-3 except during a holiday closing.

It’s time to plan ahead! We will be closed Labor Day weekend (Saturday, September 4 through Monday, September 6.) Two day loan items checked out on Thursday the 2nd will not be due back until Tuesday, September 7. Take advantage of the extension and have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
