The last week of April will be the start of the
spring vacation week activities which runs into the month of May. Stay tuned for future articles on the details
of each event. This is our ongoing saga.
Read on!
Midweek fun begins on Wednesday night, April 30th,
at 6:30pm. Come join us for a spooky
good time in a spring time ‘Monster Mash’! We will celebrate with music,
games and will create our very own monsters. This event is for grades K-5 and
registration is required.
Thursday will be an opportunity for kids to show
their creative side. First register so
we will have ample supplies, and then drop in anytime between 10:30am and
2:30pm to make a very simple May basket. Fill it at home with flowers or
candy and then hang it on your neighbor's doorknob! Ring the bell
and say 'HAPPY MAY DAY!
On Friday we have “The Great Scavenger Hunt
Adventure” scheduled from 12:00-7:00pm. Bring
children in for a simple, fun scavenger hunt around the library or they can
choose a more difficult adventure. Tiny trinkets will be given out for each
adventurer who completes the hunt. See Miss Emily at the Children's Desk
between to start your adventure.
We can’t make spring
happen on the outside, but we can put a spring in your step on the inside! Join us on Tuesday, April 22nd, at
6:30pm and you’ll be getting a smile on your face and swaying your toes to the
tunes as you listen to AKSARA.
AKSARA, a 6 woman a cappella ensemble from Southern NH, will perform at the
Kimball Library on the evening of the 22nd and you’ll definitely
want to be here, as well as invite your friends to share in the music. AKSARA has performed in many local
venues over the last 16 years and has produced 5 CD recordings. AKSARA performs a variety of selections in
many styles that are compelling, renewing and healing.
The group is part of Inner Harmony Music, a
non-profit organization. Additional
information is available at http://www.victoriaschneider.com/music_aksara_about.html. This
free event is sponsored by the wonderfully generous Friends of the Kimball
Library. Refreshments will be served.
