Kimball Library News 5/30/16

The Brown Bag Book Club (BBBC) and The Magic Tree House Book Club (MTHBC) will meet in June but will take a hiatus in July so you’ll have more time for all our summer reading activities.  The BBBC will be reading and discussing ‘Room One’ by Andrew Clements on Monday, June 13^th, at 6:30pm.  The MTHBC will be reading and discussing ‘Night of the Ninjas’ by Mary Pope Osborne on Thursday, June 16^th, at 4:30pm.

AND… the summer reading events keep happening!  Keep reading and keep *registering!

T/WEEN ZUMBA WITH MICHELLE COLLINS: Hey t/weens-- get the boost you need to soar tomorrow. Let loose and begin your journey to a healthy future with ZUMBA and GET IN THE GAME with t/ween summer reading activities. Get in the groove and MOVE with your friends!

T/weens in grades 5 and up are invited to *register and come to the ultimate dance fitness party on Wednesday, June 29^th, at 6:30pm with instructor Michelle Collins.  The first two registered t/weens get to choose an appropriate song for the evening.  

Michelle is a certified ZUMBA, ZUMBA Kids and ZUMBA Kids Jr instructor with 3 years of ZUMBA experience and over 15 years of various dance training. 

KIDS YOGA WITH JENIFER STUCKART FROM YOGAMATTERS: Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves according to research.

Jenifer Stuckart from YOGAMATTERS will lead two classes at the library for two age groupings. Choose a class on Thursday, June 30^th, at 1:15pm for ages 2-5, or choose a class at 2:15pm for ages 5-9.  Kids need to wear comfortable clothing without buckles or zippers. Loose tees and sport shorts should do the trick. Bring along a water bottle and game on.  *Registration is required for each session.

Jenifer is an instructor at Yogamatters Studio in Plaistow. She teaches kids yoga and will provide mats and ample fun!

*Summer reading events have a required registration.  Register early to avoid disappointment.  Please be kind to others and only register if you know you can come.  Thank you!*

TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT THE MOVIES: During the months of June-August the 1pm movies will be shown bimonthly.  Next up: The Lady in the Van (June 14) and The Finest Hours (June 21).  The best seats go early so be prompt.  Free popcorn and a smile will be served.
