The summer reading events keep happening! Keep reading and keep *registering! Children entering grades K-5 register for ‘On
Your Mark, Get Set, READ!’ and tweens and teens entering grades 6-college
register for ‘Get in the Game READ’.
Participation is made simple by receiving chances for prizes by visiting
the library and checking items out. It’s
not too late to get started!
THE
RUNNING DREAM: We combined the tween (grades 5-7) and teen
(grades 8-12) book discussions in the summer for one awesome time of candy and
chat on Wednesday, July 6th, at 6:30pm. The summer reading theme is GET IN THE GAME,
and this book exemplifies how to get back in the game. Register for the event and then pick up a
copy of the book in the children's room or at the main desk so you can be ready
to GET IN THE GAME. We have plenty of
books waiting.
‘Jessica thinks her life is over when she loses a leg in a car
accident. She's not comforted by the news that she'll be able to walk with the
help of a prosthetic leg. Who cares about walking when you live to run? With the support of family, friends, a coach,
and her track teammates, Jessica may actually be able to run again. But that's
not enough for her now. She doesn't just want to cross finish lines herself—she
wants to take Rosa with her.’
BLAST
FROM THE PAST: Get ready, get set, go! Ever wonder what games
kids played before you were born? How about what your parents and grandparents
did for fun? Travel back in time as we enjoy action games from the past. We'll
have some good, clean fun and appreciate a BLAST FROM THE PAST!
Register children entering grades K-5 for
some good old fashioned fun on Thursday, July 7th, at 6:30pm.
*Summer reading events have a required registration. Register early to avoid disappointment. Please be kind to others and only register if
you know you can come. Thank you!*
