Kimball Library News 7/20/2020

Not only can you come in and browse the library like the ‘old days’ but we have a whole new slew of new books in new places! Check out our newest displays of new items when you stop in with your mask on. 😊

AWARD-WINNING FIDDLER: Bringing fresh energy to traditional Celtic music, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki is an award-winning New Hampshire-based fiddler/singer who has been performing professionally for over two decades. He has toured nationally with bands in various genres, performed across Ireland, and released multiple recordings of Celtic music that can be heard on radio stations in Ireland and Scotland as well as around New England. He is also an Emmy®-nominated composer who has written soundtracks for audiobooks and television and appeared as a guest on over 75 albums. His lifelong passion for history helps bring to life the traditional music around which he built his career. Performing for the Kimball Library in a Virtual Concert, Jordan will be solo, and will entertain us with favorite fiddle tunes and songs with guitar accompaniment.

This Virtual Concert will be delivered Facebook Live on Thursday, August 6th, and you do not need to have a Facebook account to view.  Just visit our webpage on the bottom right corner and wait for it to go LIVE!

This toe-tapping concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Kimball Library.  Please thank them, we surely do!

WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS (Virtual ALL AGES): Join us on ZOOM for a special wildlife encounter! Professional animal handlers will show off their animal ambassadors for us all to see. Learn about animals and see them hanging out with their keepers. You'll get to see a TEGU, PORCUPINE, WALLABY, MACAW, GIANT SNAKE and MORE! This is a great chance to get right up close and personal with some awesome wild animals. You'll get a chance to ask the keepers questions and see what makes all these animals so unique.  This exciting animal-tastic event is being hosted at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th, and is sponsored by the generous Friends of Kimball Library.

Register to receive the link emailed one hour before showtime. Invite all your friends, family, and neighbors to register and join, too!
