Kimball Library News 2/1/21

We are happy to announce that the Kimball Library is open to in-person browsing. As always, we are stocked with new and exciting materials and are looking forward to seeing you! Our first priority is your safety and that of the staff. Therefore, social distancing and masks are required. Take Out service will continue and contactless printing and faxing is now an additional option. The Conference and Study Room will be open for groups of 4 and 2 respectively. In order to preserve social distancing, programs will continue to be virtual.

The Library continues to operate its full schedule: Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. Please continue to place returns in the drops so that they can be quarantined for 72 hours.

THE JOYS OF WINTER BIRD FEEDING: Looking for a way to brighten your yard and mood this winter? Become one of the 53 million Americans who feed birds as a hobby. Join us as Mass Audubon naturalist Scott Santino, discusses the joys of winter bird feeding. He’ll discuss feeder types, the best seed to put in them, the birds they’ll attract, how to outsmart squirrels, and other ways to encourage bird-life into your yard and community.

About the presenter: Scott Santino is the Naturalist at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield where he has been leading nature education programs for Mass Audubon since 1999. He coordinates the sanctuary’s volunteer Nature Guide program, training adults in natural history interpretation and is a faculty member of Mass Audubon’s Birder’s Certificate Program, a college level ornithology class.

This awesome program is sponsored by the Friends of the Kimball Library taking place via Zoom on Thursday, February 25th at 6:30 PM. Register now!

TWINKLETOES: In February, Miss Daniele will be leading a new class for the youngest dancers to try out their moves. We’ll get up and get moving to learn new ways to dance, jump, and stretch. READERS THEATER: Get your reading and drama practice ON! Reader’s Theater is a fun way to expand your reading and speaking skills. Join other children in grades 2-5 via Zoom on Thursday, February 11th at 6:30 PM.
