Don’t miss out on all the amazing concerts and performers in the Library Courtyard! Keep an eye on our website for details.
ALL TOGETHER TEEN BOOK DISCUSSION: Join the coolest and sweetest teens
(from all the candy we devour) to chat about the July 5th book, ‘All
My Rage’ by Sabaa Tahir. Books are available for check-out at the main circ
desk, and t/weens signed up for summer reading will receive a raffle ticket
just for taking the book home.
‘All My Rage’ is a love story, a tragedy and an infectious teenage fever dream about what
home means when you feel you don't fit in. Noor, who was born in
Pakistan but emigrated as a child after her family was killed in a tragic
accident, yearns for a culture that she never got a chance to fully know.
Register to
join us, but teenage drop-ins are also welcome.
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: Trombones are front and center in 2Slick, a unique
jazz group. Featuring trombonists Steve Piermarini and Wayne Branco, with
pianist John Arcaro, bassist Stephan Arsenault and drummer Mark Branco, the
band plays the music of JJ Johnson and Kai Winding as well as many original
arrangements.
In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside the spacious Atkinson
Fire Department. Folding chairs will be set up in the Fire Station but you
may also bring your own folding chairs. We suggest that in the event of rain,
you check the Library website for updates.
