Kimball Library News 10/29/23

Learn how to make a beautiful fresh boxwood tree to enjoy for the holidays!

BOXWOOD TREE: The boxwood tree is an elegant design made out of boxwood and decorated with velvet ribbon, gold glass balls, berries and natural gypsophila. This popular centerpiece will last for months and is perfect for your home or for those who want a small holiday tree to enjoy. Register for the class taking place on Monday, December 4th at 6 PM.

Felicia Motherway has been teaching this class at the Library for years, and it’s so successful and popular because nobody, not even the craft impaired, will leave with a Charlie Brown tree!

Reservations are required for this special event. Sign up early as the classes fill up and literally sell out. A non-refundable materials fee of $45 must be paid in advance at the main circulation (cash or check only). Checks are payable to Felicia Motherway.

T/WEEN BOOK DISCUSSION: We have such a fun group of tweens and teens that enjoy discussing books! We are open to more middle and high school age people to join. We have a registration link on our website event calendar waiting for you.

On Wednesday, December 6th at 6 PM we will be chatting about the book War Horse by Michael Morpurgo while having our usual candy fix. This is an unforgettable tale of war, redemption, and a hero's journey.

Copies of the book are located at the main circulation desk.

KOKOPELLI FLUTE
: Join us for an evening of beautiful and festive holiday music with the Kokopelli Flute Ensemble.

Kokopelli is a flute ensemble that is based in southern New Hampshire. They enjoy performing music at special occasions and functions.

This festive performance is sponsored by the generous Friends of the Kimball Library.

WRITE IT OUT: Join us on Wednesday, December 20th at 6 PM. Kids in grades 2-8 are invited to join us to write it out! We'll start off with a prompt or two to read to the class and then free write. All abilities are welcome. In each session the class does something a bit different, but you’ll never feel behind or left out whether you attend monthly or less often. Registration is appreciated.

HOLIDAY HOURS: The Kimball Library will close early on Wednesday, November 22nd at 3 PM. We will remain closed Thursday the 23rd through Saturday the 25th. We are celebrating being THANKFUL for all of our wonderful patrons!
