Kimball Library News 1/25/11

You are invited to join us for assorted sweets and pink lemonade on Wednesday, February 9th, between the hours of 1 and 3:30pm. The very generous ‘Friends of the Kimball Library’ have pronounced the day to be “Staff Appreciation Day” and they’d like the patrons to be part of the festivities. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your neighbors and friends as well give your thanks to the staff. Please make time to stop by.

How are the eating and exercising resolutions coming along? Need some help with the meal preparation part of it? We have just the program for you coming up on Thursday, February 17th, from 6:30-8pm. Michelle Dubois will demonstrate how to prepare low carbohydrate recipes for an entire day’s menu. You will learn how to make good carb choices throughout the day, you’ll learn what the difference is between good and bad carbohydrates, and you’ll be exposed to the overall importance of good eating habits. Best of all, samples for tasting will be served! To help us plan for this free event, sign-ups are required. Space is limited so sign up early.

It’s the third Saturday of the month, so we’ve got a movie planned in the large meeting room on the big screen. Check out the website calendar and mark the date for Saturday, February 19th at 10:30am. Register online to insure a seat! The rumor about this movie is that it is rated PG and totally “PAWSOME!”

Please note the library will be closed on Monday, February 21st, for Presidents Day. Also note that we have activities for kids and teens that week from February 22-25. Check the online calendar or check back for next week’s article.
