‘You are Here’ on Tuesday, August 2nd, with Deepal Vora. Deepal is a professional henna artist providing Henna Services for the last 6 years around the Boston area. Her designs are completely free-hand and thus flexible to suit style and preference. She uses all-natural henna powder (no BLACK Henna) that is safe on the skin. The henna paste is prepared fresh a day or two before the event.

First on that evening is henna history, tradition, facts and myths. Next on the agenda is types of henna designs - Indian, Arabic, Moroccan, and contemporary glitter designs. You will also be shown how to make henna paste and cones. Deepal will do henna designs on the teens and they also get an opportunity to practice the art on themselves and others. This program currently has a waitlist, but it is not uncommon to have last minute cancellations so please so register if you are interested. Check out Deepal Vora's work: http://www.hennabydeepal.com Participants should be entering grade 6 up through age 19, be registered for teen summer reading, and have their own Kimball Library card.
