New sessions for infants through preschool are starting up the 3rd week in March. We are offering a wide variety of sessions with some repeats on different days of the week so many schedules can be accommodated. Registration has begun! Last session we were ‘sold out’ on one of our programs so don’t delay on getting your place. Please take note: classes that require sign-up are denoted by the asterisks. *** If you sign up, it is for the entire six week session. Registration can be done online or by calling us at 603.362.5234 ext 224.
***Book Babies (Ages 0-2) Mondays, March 12 – April 16, 10:30-11am. Infants through age 2 with their caregivers are invited to join us for simple stories, rhymes, fingerplays, and songs. This class is modeled after the very popular ‘Mother Goose on the Loose’ program. Please feel welcome to stay after the session to allow for playtime and socializing for all ages.
***Bitty Books (Ages 2-3) Tuesdays, March 13 – April 17, 10:15-11am. Children ages 2-3 with their caregivers are invited to join us for itty bitty stories, rhymes, fingerplays, or songs and a simple craft.
Family Frolics (Preschool age) Mondays, March 12 – April 16, Wednesdays, March 14 – April 18, 1:15-2pm or Thursdays, March 15 – April 19, 1:15-2pm. All 'kids' (generally preschool age) and their caregivers are welcome to participate in some early literacy activities. Be prepared for music, movement, rhyme, and simple stories.
***Create & Express (Ages vary by the nature of the project) Thursdays, 4-5pm. We have a session of canvas painting for grade 3 and up from March 15 – March 29, and we have a session of making tulip planters for kindergarten and up from April 5 – April 19. Both of these sessions require a three week commitment at the time of registration.
***Kiddie Lit (Ages 3-6) Tuesdays, March 13 – April 17, 11:30-12:15 or Thursdays, March 15 – April 19, 10:15-11am or 11:30-12:15pm. Crafts, music, new friends and adventures into literacy are found during these classes. Caretakers may stay and listen or relax in another part of the library.
Friday Freewheelers (All ages) Fridays, March 16 – April 20, 6:30-7:15pm. Preschool and elementary children are welcome with their parents for a 'mixed bag' of six week sessions on Friday evenings. Some possibilities include: stories, BINGO, a simple craft, science activity or games. It's a grab bag kind of evening! Check the online calendar for what is happening each night. PLEASE NOTE that sessions will run with breaks rather than consecutively as in the past and that snacks are served only intermittently on special occasions.
The next Saturday Cinema is scheduled for March 17th from 10:30am-12pm. Like penguins? We do, too!! We’ll supervise the children with a movie on the big screen if you choose to leave them. (Please note that we require waivers for unattended children ages 6-9.) Younger children are welcome with a parent or guardian. ALL AGES are welcome to stay and enjoy. Please send them with movie snacks and spill-proof beverages. Pillows are also welcome if they prefer to sprawl out rather than sit in chairs.
