Kimball Library News 5/8/12

Have you forgotten??  We have a myriad of adult classes or programs that meet on a regular basis that we always mention.  Take a look below and see what’s here for you.

2nd MONDAY of each month: Writers Ink
Monday, May 14, 6:30-8:00pm
The Kimball Library Writing Group aka ‘Writers Ink’ meets the second Monday of every month.   Each writing session is facilitated.  The writing theme is different each month and decided on by the group.  New faces are welcome and encouraged.  J

TUESDAYS:  ‘Dabblers’ Painting & Crafts Group
Tuesdays WEEKLY, 10:00am-12:00pm
Join this group, the Dabblers!  J  Beginners to advanced in oil, acrylic or watercolor media on canvas, wood or paper.  We’ll help you get started or just bring a project of your choice.  This casual, friendly group meets Tuesdays from 10am to noon in the large meeting room.

TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS:  KnitWits
Tuesdays & Fridays WEEKLY, 10:30am-12:00pm
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, come join the fun as we learn together.  Please bring your own supplies.  This is an informal gathering to finish those unfinished projects or perhaps get ideas for beginning some new ones.  We’ll cozy up in the Atkinson Room of the library, share some laughs, drop a stitch or two, and make some new friends.  All experience levels and ages welcome.  You are welcome to attend either or both days.

3rd WEDNESDAY of each month: Friends of the Kimball Library
Wednesday, May 16, 10:15am
The Friends are volunteers who raise money for items above and beyond the normal library budget.  They sponsor programs like the Peddler's Market in the fall, hold book sales, provide speakers, support children's programming, purchase museum passes and special books for children and teens, plan trips and sometimes go to lunch together.   Join them the 3rd Wednesday of each month and learn what they're all about.

FRIDAYS: Wii play, too! (Adults only, please)
Fridays, WEEKLY, 10:30am-12:00pm   NO WII on MAY 18th
Adults are invited to play Wii Sports and Wii Fit on our Wii system.  Here's your golden opportunity to see what all the hype is about and learn some new games. This is a great time to come participate or observe.  Wii will give you the opportunity to try bowling, golf, tennis, baseball, or skiing. The current crowd loves bowling the best.  Come for part or all of the time allotted.  This is an adult event.  Invite your friends and make some new ones while you’re here.
