We just love Froggy books
and think that you will, too. Froggy books are written by Jonathon London and
his humor appeals to a variety of readers.
A few of his books include ‘Let’s Go, Froggy!’, ‘Froggy gets Dressed’,
‘Froggy goes to the Doctor’, ‘Froggy learns to Swim’, and ‘Froggy’s Baby
Sister’. Join Froggy and us on Saturday,
April 6th, from 11am-12pm for ‘Here’s Froggy!’ as we read Froggy
stories and do special Froggy activities. This event is perfect for K-grades 3.
Please register online or give us a call to join in the fun.
'We all have our own
mountains to climb. They may be four thousand footers in the White Mountains,
but they may be bringing up children, or caring for aging parents. They may be
going to school, tackling a difficult project, dealing with an illness, or
searching for your passion in life. This presentation is not a presentation of
'look at us, look what we did.' It is a presentation of 'look inside you, you
can do this too.'
‘It's Not About the Hike’
is for anyone and everyone -- hikers and non-hikers, people who are sedentary
or active, outdoor enthusiasts and indoor homebodies, ten year olds and ninety
year olds and everyone in between. The presentation is not about the hike; it
is an inspirational and motivational program about pushing yourself outside of your
comfort zones, overcoming your own fears, finding your passions and living your
life to the fullest. This hour-long multi-media
event includes movies, music, and photographs. It is both humorous and touching
as the speakers share from their hearts about their personal lives in a way
that makes the message and learning universal.
Take
a peek at our speakers and their inspiring stories: Nancy Sporborg and Pat
Piper
“We are two 50-plus-year-old women who started walking the sidewalks of Keene and ended up climbing the one hundred highest mountains in New England. We thought we were just going out for a hike when we climbed our first mountain. We were wrong. We were beginning the journey of a lifetime. We have reached the summits of over 244 mountains since 2006, hiking through all four seasons. We have walked more than 1,600 miles and gained over 487,000 feet in elevation. But it's not about the numbers. It's about who we are becoming as we hike. We are discovering the strong courageous determined joyful women inside. Hiking has shown us the way to our hearts and our healing and given us a glimpse of who we really are.”
