“IRS appropriations were significantly cut in
the 2015 Omnibus Appropriations bill recently passed by Congress.” According to

Representatives,
funding for the IRS was cut by $345 million, to below its FY 2008 level.

TEENS
READ:
The book discussion for Wednesday,
February 11, at 6:30 for grades 9-12 is a novel entitled 'Aristotle and Dante
Discover the Secrets of the Universe' by Benjamin Alire Saenz.’ Aristotle is an angry teen with a
brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at
the world. And it is through their friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the
most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be. Refreshments,
discussion, and fun will be served. It’s not school! No worries if you didn’t finish the
book. You will still be able to
contribute to the discussion. All
interested high school students are welcome regardless of the town you live in.
Just ask for a copy of the book at the front desk.
HAVE YOU TRIED ANIME?: How will you know if it is your ‘thing’ or not if
you don’t come to at least one gathering?
Join us on Thursday, February 12, from 6-7:30pm. We will be watching anime (ratings equivalent
to PG-13), making new friends, and enjoying some snacks. Feel free to bring sketch books to draw or
read manga while we watch. We also have
some cool how-to drawing books right here at the library. This event is for
grades 6-12 and non-residents are welcome.
