Registration
for all summer reading programs (preschool), (elementary), and
(t/weens—middle/high school) begins on Monday, June 17th. Each year there is a bit of confusion
regarding this process so we proactively start to explain the semantics
now. To be included in the summer
reading program, registration is required for all age groups. Individual events
for various age groups will also require registration as the events have a
maximum capacity, and food or craft supplies need to be purchased in
advance. We take care not to
over-purchase for our events. Please take note to register for the program as a
whole, but also to register for each individual event that your child plans to
attend.
We
truly appreciate cancellations being called in because some other child may be on
a waiting list for an event and that spot in reality is being taken by someone
not actually attending. More information
regarding all the programs will be forthcoming, but definitely note that you
may begin general registration on June 17th. Registration for the program as a whole is
ongoing until July 26th, however, the sooner you begin the sooner
you child can begin to win prizes.

tuned……. Toe Jam Puppet Band is coming to town!
Toe Jam Puppet Band performs all year round in venues all over New
England. Their zany brand of original music gets all who come up dancing and
smiling! This variety show will please any age who has a sense of fun and
humor in their bones. Bring a smile and be prepared to tap your
toes! Registration is not required. Bring Grandma, bring your
friends, and bring your brother. We've got something for everyone.
This is the official 2013 kick-off into summer reading!
We'll be meeting with ‘Toe Jam’ on the patio lawn and hill at 6:30pm on Thursday, June 27th, at 6:30pm. In case of inclement weather this event will be held at Atkinson Academy. This event is sponsored by the Elizabeth Smith Estate.

We
will be closed Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May
27.) Two day loan items checked out on Thursday the 23rd will not be due
back until May 28th. Take advantage of the extension and have a safe
and happy holiday weekend.
