“We’re goin’ to the zoo,
zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too. We’re goin’ to
the zoo, zoo, zoo.” are lyrics by Raffi that you can jam to when you are on
your way to the Franklin or Stone Zoo.
We have plenty of passes available and this is a great time of year to
have a visit. This library pass admits 6
people @ $6.00 per adult and $4.00 per child.
Reservations can be made online on our webpage or over the phone. If you note that the pass is not available
for a particular date, do not despair.
Call us and we’ll give you a pass that does not expire until June 30 and
that you can use on any day before July 1.
A dozen t/weens gathered on
May 1 to discuss a book, 'The Sacrifice', and ending up debating over whether
or not the death penalty should exist.
Much candy was consumed and there was a lot of thoughtful
discussion. Your child in grade 5-8 is
welcome to join us on June 5 at 6:30pm as we review Jordan Sonnenblick’s
‘Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie’. This is a brave and beautiful story that
will make readers laugh and break their hearts at the same time. Salted with humor and peppered with
devastating realities, 'Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie' is a heartwarming
journey through a year in the life of a family in crisis. We have copies of this novel at the front
desk. Stop by and grab a copy for your
t/ween, and we won’t be surprised if you read it and enjoy it, too.
Got books? WE DO!
Stop by on Saturday, May 18th, from 8am-3pm. We'll have more than books--baked goods, flea
items, movies, music and more. The early
bird gets the best picks! See you there.
We
will be closed Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May
27.) Two day loan items checked out on Thursday the 23rd will not be due
back until May 28th. Take advantage of the extension and have a safe
and happy holiday weekend.
