It’s time to rhyme! Got little ones? Welcome to Mother Goose on the Loose, a fun-filled thirty minute
interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments and
more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers. Our fall
session starts on Monday, September 12th, at 10:30am. We meet every week with an occasional Monday
off here or there. Most of the
caregivers feel welcome to stay after the session to allow for playtime and
socializing for all ages and so it’s also a good place to meet others with
little ones. Please register online or
give us a call and talk to Miss Kathy if you want to know more about this class.
It’s time to discuss a good
book! Join us for the August morning book
group when we discuss ‘Dancing after Hours’ by Haverhill, MA author, Andre
Dubus. ‘He restores faith in the survival of the short story’ (Los
Angeles Times), and with this collection, demonstrates more powerfully
than ever before both his mastery of the form and his understanding of our
imperfect lives. Whether you read one
story or all fourteen, come sit with us and enjoy the book even more! This group meets monthly, the 4th Wednesday
at 10:15am. We welcome you!
It’s time
to plan ahead! Got a few extra hours on
your hands to watch movies, read, or listen to tunes? We will be closed Labor Day weekend
(Saturday, August 31st through Monday, September 2nd.) Two day loan items checked out on Thursday will
not be due back until Tuesday, September 3rd.
Take advantage of the extension on two-day loans and have a safe and
happy holiday weekend.
It’s time
to get healthy! Mark the date to get
started on a healthier lifestyle with ‘Nutrition and Weight Loss with Dr.
Swiesz’ that will take place on Tuesday, September 17th, from
6:30-8pm. Come learn some helpful information
regarding health and fitness. This
program is free and open to the public.
It’s time for fall cleaning. Got books?
We’ll take them off your hands in preparation for the ‘Fall Book and Bake Sale’ that is around the corner on
Saturday, September 28th, from 8am-3pm.
Please drop off your books, DVDs, and audiobooks Monday-Friday 10-8 and
Saturday 10-3 except during a holiday closing.
Start your downsizing!
