SANTA
CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN! Extra! Extra! Read all about it! A special North Pole visitor will be coming
to Kimball Library on Friday, December 20th! Santa is making a special trip to visit our
story hour children. He will visit the 1st Kiddie Lit class at
10:45am and the second Kiddie Lit class at 11:30am. Guests that are not
enrolled in these classes may join us at 11:30am. Santa likes to read to
us, and he is available for listening to children's wishes. Registration
is not required for this one-time event.
HOLIDAY
DROP ‘N SHOP~ We have three Saturdays in a row in December where you can leave
your child ages 6 and up unattended and we will care for them with
activities. If your child is younger
than 6 they may register and participate, but a responsible adult must stay
with them for the duration of the event.
These events begin at 10:30am and conclude at 12:30pm. We expect children who are left to be picked
up promptly. Ages 6-9 must have an adult fill out a waiver
on that morning to be left here in our care. Please peruse our
website for selections or give us a call.
Registration is mandatory for all. Thank you for your cooperation. Residents only, please.
If you or your child would like to see a sample of
the Saturday crafts, please drop by as all crafts are currently on display in
the children’s room. We are pretty
excited about our assortment on the upcoming Saturdays.
FALL
STORY HOURS CONCLUSION~ We are having a two week winter break on the weeks of
Dec 23rd and Dec 30th. There
will be no Bitty Books, Kiddie Lit, Mother Goose on the loose, or PJ Peeps
classes. Please drop in and play in the
craft area, use the train table and puppet theatre, or hang out on our computers. All classes will resume in January.
The library has some special holiday hours coming
up. We will be open only from 10am-2pm
on December 24th, closed on December 25th, open only from
10am-3pm on December 31st, and closed on January 1, 2014. Please stock up accordingly. Items due on the 24th or the 31st
must be in the building before closing.
