Kimball Library News 11/18/13

Fa la la la la la la la la!  We are announcing a holiday concert that you definitely won’t want to miss!  Be of good cheer and join us on the 10th of December.  Get into the holiday spirit! The Kokopelli Flute Ensemble will be performing at the Kimball Library in Atkinson, on December 10, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Join them for a festive evening of holiday music and Christmas Carol sing-alongs. They promise to play many of your favorites, and perhaps you’ll even hear something you’ve never heard before.

Kokopelli is a group of eight members of the Timberlane Community Band’s flute section. They have played music together, in various configurations, for over a decade, and would love to share their special sound with you. Kokopelli has played for gatherings from Maine to Connecticut, but their home is right here in southern New Hampshire.

Come to the Kimball Library, relax for a while, and let the sounds of the holidays make your season bright!  There is no admission fee, and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Kimball Library.

Details for the second ‘Holiday Drop ‘n Shop’ on December 14 from 10:30am-12pm are as follows:  On the second day of ‘Drop ‘n Shop’ the elves have whispered to me...  Let's have some Frosting, Fun, and Friends!!”  Learn about the history of gingerbread. Create your very own gingerbread cookies from scratch!  Sample warm cookies from the oven and decorate a cookie to take home.  **Registration is now available.

**All 'Drop 'n Shop' participants must be at least 6 years of age to be left in the building without an adult.  Ages 6-9 must have an adult fill out a waiver on that morning to be left here in our care.  Children under 6 must be supervised by the attending caretaker.  Children ages 10 and up are allowed to stay without an adult or waiver according to library policy.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Residents only, please.

If you or your child would like to see a sample of the Saturday crafts, please drop by the library and see the projects for each week displayed in advance.  Stay tuned here each week as we keep you informed as to each Saturday event’s details.

The library will be closed on both Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving break.  We are open on Saturday, November 30th, from 10am-3pm (our usual Saturday hours.)  Please stock up accordingly.  Two day loans taken on Tuesday the 26th will not be dues until Saturday the 30th.
