Need a little time without little ones underfoot? “We are Santa’s Elves” for your kids ages 6 and up for Saturday Cinema on December 4th starting at 10:30am! We’ll occupy them with a movie and supervision in our large meeting room while you shop or wrap gifts for a bit. Please send them with movie snacks and spill-proof beverages. Pillows and blankies are also welcome if they prefer to sprawl out rather than sit in chairs. We are featuring a classic on the 4th that’s recently been released on DVD starring Jim Carrey and your kids won’t be saying ‘Bah Humbug!’ to that. Register online or give us a call to get your child’s name on the list. This is not limited to children as we think tweens, teens, and adults will enjoy this film. Please note that children under age 6 are welcome with an adult. Check online and stay tuned for the release of the December 11th feature film as well.
Hold onto your elf hat, Kimball Library is having a wicked cool ‘Holiday Hoopla!’ and you won’t want to miss out. Join us for caroling, crafts, cookies, cocoa and a custom visit from the North Pole. Save the date – Saturday, December 18th. The ‘Hoopla’ starts hopping with cherubic voices of girl scouts caroling from 12:30-1pm. Next up on the docket is the ‘elves workshop’ happening from 1-2pm. During the craft hour the choices will include jewelry, ornaments, and sticker scenes that children can make and take. Finally, at 2pm, we have St. Nicholas visiting and he’ll be here for the final hour. Make the library part of your holiday traditions. All ages are welcome.
