Kimball Library News 12/7/10

Hold onto your elf hat, Kimball Library is having a wicked cool ‘Holiday Hoopla!’ and you won’t want to miss out! Join us for caroling, crafts, cookies, cocoa and a custom visit from the North Pole. Save the date – Saturday, December 18th. The ‘Hoopla’ starts hopping with cherubic voices of girl scouts caroling from 12:30-1pm. Next up on the docket is the ‘elves workshop’ happening from 1-2pm. During the craft hour the choices will include jewelry, ornaments, and sticker scenes that children can make and take. Finally, at 2pm, we have St. Nicholas visiting and he’ll be here for the final hour. Make the library part of your holiday traditions. All ages are welcome.

The last week in December we have a myriad of events for kids and teens on vacation who can meet up with friends here at the library. Monday: Super Sock Snowman Craft from 1-3pm, Brown Bag Club from 5:30-6:30pm; Tuesday: Princess & the Frog movie from 1-2:30pm, Wii Teens & Tweens from 6-8pm; Wednesday: Come make an Igloo from 3:30-4:30pm, Wii Teens & Tweens from 6-8pm; Thursday: New Year’s Eve Sparkly Craft from 1-2pm, Wii Teens & Tweens from 6-8pm. Please be aware that some of these programs require registration or supplies so be sure to check out the details on our website.

Please note that the library will be closed on both December 24 and 25. We will also have limited hours on December 31 (10am-3pm). Our regular hours are available on all other days: We are open weekdays from 10am-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-3pm. We are closed on Sundays. Whatever holidays or traditions you are celebrating this month we wish you the happiest ever!
