Kimball Library News 11/30/10

December has many exciting events HAPPENING: Please note that many of the programs require registration and we would hate for anyone to be disappointed by skipping this essential step. Listed below is the minimum information. Do call or check online for details.

• Holiday Dance is happening on December 2 and 16 at 10:15am. Registration is required and this program is suited for ages 3-5.

• Kids Cooking is happening on December 8 at 4pm. Registration is required and this is specifically for grades 3-5.

• Saturday Cinema is happening on December 4 and December 11 at 10:30am. Register ages 6-9. Ages 10 and up may stay without an adult. Check for program details and film titles online on the library calendar.

• Teen book discussion ‘The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe’ is happening on December 8 at 6:30pm. Teenagers (grades 6-12) have the opportunity to attend UNplugged (board games) on December 9, and Teen INK (writers group) on December 16, and both activities start at 6:30pm. Teens are also encouraged to attend the Saturday Cinemas because good movies are definitely for all ages, not just for little kids.

• ‘Holiday Hoopla!’ is happening on December 18th from 12-3pm and includes caroling, crafts, and a visit from St. Nicholas. All ages are encouraged to attend.

Post holiday JAZZ: The last week of December has many activities and the details are on the library calendar and in an article to come. Monday features a sock snowmen craft and Brown Bag jazz, Tuesday movie and Wii jazz, Wednesday igloos and Wii jazz, and Thursday sparkly balls and Wii jazz. On Friday, December 31st, we will be open limited hours (10-3), so we can all jazz up for New Year’s Eve! Once again, details are online or give us a call for age restrictions and/or registration.
